ABOUT

Nadine Coyle started her career as one fifth of the award-winning girl band, Girls Aloud, who dominated the pop charts for an entire decade.

After being formed on reality tv show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, Girls Aloud demolished all expectations when they burst onto the pop charts with their debut single Sound of The Underground, topping the charts for 4 consecutive weeks. The girls went on to become the UK’s biggest selling girl band of the 21st century, selling over 4.3 million singles and 4 million albums in the UK alone. They also hold the record for ‘Most Consecutive Top Ten Singles in the UK by a Female Group’. After 23 singles, 6 UK tours, 5 studio albums and Brit Award for ‘Best British Single’ with The Promise, Girls Aloud announced their split in 2013.

Nadine’s first solo venture came in 2010, when Girls Aloud were on a hiatus to pursue their own projects. She released her album Insatiable, a 13 track blend of sophisticated ballads, pop rock and contemporary R&B. Stepping away from the infamous Xenomania pop sound, she worked with people such as William Orbit, Guy Chambers and Toby Gad to produce the album. Nadine also created her own record label, Black Pen Records, to allow herself full creative control.

Nadine spent her 1st year post Girls Aloud split away from the public eye, dedicating all her attention on being a mother, after giving birth to her daughter in 2014. Later that year, she was asked by Michael Flatley to join Lord of the Dance, singing 3 songs in the show as ‘Erin the Goddess’.

Whilst appearing in Lord of the Dance, Nadine reunited with Brian Higgins, the musical genius behind all the Girls Aloud songs. Together they began writing new material, and after signing a record deal with Virgin EMI, she released the infectious pop banger ‘Go To Work’, followed by her EP, featuring 3 original songs, and a cover of JP Cooper’s September Song. Her most recent single,  the feel-good summer anthem Fool For Love , was released in May 2019.

November 2019 will see Nadine step out of her comfort zone as she heads to Australia to join the lineup of ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here”. You can keep up to date with all of the latest jungle news via her her Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
